I've only had this filter a few months and really like it, so I bought 2 new ones to speed up the cleaning process. very inexpensive compared to some others I have used. easy to clean. I hand rinse mine at the sink then put them in a mesh bag and run them through the washer with just fresh water. then let hem air dry till next time.
